چکیده
Abstract Key message We studied size distributions of decay-affected Norway spruce trees using cut-to-length harvester data. The data comprised tree-level decay and severity recordings from 101 final felling stands, which enabled to analyze relationships between all trees. Distribution matching technique was used transfer the distribution into diameter at breast height (DBH) Context Stem ( Picea abies [L.] Karst.) results in large economic losses timber production northern hemisphere. Forest management planning typically requires information on tree distributions. However, generally remain unknown impeding decision-making forest planning. Aims Our aim model level stands. Methods Cut-to-length 93,456 were collected stands Norway. For each (94% trees), presence stem (incipient advanced) recorded. stand-level (diameter height, DBH; H) described Weibull distribution. proposed (DM) models that transform either DBH or H compared predictive performance DMs with a null-model refers global estimated based DBHs harvested Results showed an average-sized is larger taller stand, while advanced shorter thinner having incipient decay. can be matched smaller error index (EI) values EI = 0.14) than 0.31). DM clearly outperformed null resulted 0.32. Conclusions analysis relationship explained by spread biology fungi modeled technique.

Characterization of glutathione S-transferases in needles of Norway spruce trees from a forest decline stand.
Glutathione S-transferases (GST) detoxify many electrophilic xenobiotics, including several volatile organic compounds and pesticides. The GST activity for the conjugation of several xenobiotic substances was isolated from needles of Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.) trees from a forest decline stand in the northern alps. Trees that exhibited different degrees of damage were selected from s...
متن کاملRadial distributions of Pb in stems of young Norway spruce trees grown in Pb-contaminated soil.
Concentrations of Pb in individual stem xylem rings of 5-year-old Norway spruce trees (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) were determined after one growing season in soil containing a low, medium or high concentration of Pb. In trees in the control and low-Pb soil treatments, Pb concentrations increased from the outer annual rings toward the stem center, whereas in trees grown in the soil treatment conta...

an infinite planar array of rectangular microstrip patch antenna analysis
the methods which are used to analyze microstrip antennas, are divited into three categories: empirical methods, semi-empirical methods and full-wave analysis. empirical and semi-empirical methods are generally based on some fundamental simplifying assumptions about quality of surface current distribution and substrate thickness. thses simplificatioms cause low accuracy in field evaluation. ful...
